Membership is open to anyone who supports our mission. ANSER-ARES is a non-profit association governed democratically by an Executive Committee elected at its annual conference by the membership.
ANSER-ARES is a Canadian association of scholars, researchers, and practitioners dedicated to advancing research and knowledge related to nonprofit organizations and the social economy. Through collaboration and shared inquiry, we foster innovative, high-impact research that strengthens communities and informs policy and practice.

Tier 1 — $50 CAD
For students, community partners, retirees, and individuals precariously employed who are paying fees personally without institutional support.
Tier 2 — $100 CAD
For post-docs, early career or tenure-track faculty, sessional instructors, public sector staff, nonprofit professionals, or individuals with limited or partial funding support.
Tier 3 — $150 CAD
For tenured faculty, senior researchers, consultants, and individuals with access to institutional or professional development funding. Tier 3 memberships help subsidize Tier 1.
Memberships expire annually on March 31.
Becoming a member is simple. Complete the online form and select the membership tier that best reflects your situation. Payments are processed securely.
